This year, instead of making up for lost time come January 1, why not forge through December by signing up for a new (or new to you) exercise class. Read on to learn some new moves and emerge in the new year fitter and guilt-free.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Sign up for an adult gymnastics or trapeze class.

  2. Step 2

Crunch Fitness offers Hula Hip, and Equinox offers Hoopology classes for your inner child. Both involve hula hoops—some with weights, some glow in the dark, but all enhance spine flexibility and core strength.

  3. Step 3

A company called Kangoo makes boots that allow you to bounce like Tigger! Some gyms offer Kangoo classes. If your city is void, you can buy a pair of boots and a DVD for an in-home romp.

  4. Step 4

Most fitness facilities, including some YMCA's, offer belly dancing classes—great for core strength and impressing the boyfriend.

  5. Step 5

To improve posture and overall strength, Sports Club LA offers a Ballet Floor Work class to cover the basics.

  6. Step 6

If you missed all of these and more, sign up for the Morning After Workout at Crunch Fitness.
