Things You'll Need:

  • strong planning skills
  1. Step 1

When you first learn that you have a job interview, learn as much about the company and the location as you can. Be sure to inquire about the location as well as the particular office within the building.

  2. Step 2

Find out if there is any major construction going on in the area during the time of your interview. If so, you may want to plan an alternate route to avoid traffic as well as getting caught off-guard by a detour.

  3. Step 3

Take a look at a map to see if there are more than one ways to get to the place. In the event that you get lost or take the wrong exit off of a highway, it is good to have a back-up route in mind.

  4. Step 4

If time permits, take a drive to the building a day or so prior to the interview to become familiar with the area. Knowing where the building is can relieve a great deal of stress and anxiety prior to an interview.

  5. Step 5

Leave early, but do not show up too early. Arriving early can present an opportunity to prepare for the interview and practice responses to potential questions.
