For both parents and educators, it is important to know how to be able to spot someone that is being bullied by one or more of their peers. If instances of bullying among children are recognized as soon as possible, the better the chances are of being able to stop it.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Many kinds of victims generally hold a low social status around school and in the neighborhood. Observe those that tend to be loners and see how they are interacting with others around them.

  2. Step 2

Other kinds of victims that attain the above social status often group together and become friends with each other. Look out for small groups of children that rarely socialize outside of their circle.

  3. Step 3

Other bullying targets suffer from depression as well as other mental disorders. Children that often exhibit low self-esteem and depressed moods leave themselves susceptible to bullying of all sorts.

  4. Step 4

Another kind of victim is referred to as the proactive victim. This kind of victim is considered to be rude, obnoxious and annoying. They generally lack social skills and can be prone to conditions such as ADHD and Tourette's syndrome.

Tips & Warnings
  • Not all victims of bullying display these tendencies. Bullying can happen to anybody at anytime, so be sure to become as observant as possible when looking for bullying victims.
