Spice up a regular card!

Looking to add a personal touch to your Christmas cards but don't have time to make them from scratch? Read below for ideas to make your store bought cards unique this year.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Gather your addresses, pens, and cards and fill them out to the folks you want to send them to.

  2. Step 2

Decide on how you would like to personalize your cards. You can wrap a thin red or green ribbon around the card (it makes the card look very rich).

  3. Step 3

You can also buy a small package of holiday confetti and put a small pinch into each envelope (make sure to put the card in upside down so they see it!). It's sure to be noticed!

  4. Step 4

Another idea is to buy one rubber stamp and ink pad that you really like a decorate the outside of the envelope with the stamp. It can be something simple or elaborate, whatever you'd like!

  5. Step 5

I usually take one or two of the steps above and make them my "signature" for cards. I send cards out for every holiday possible (I LOVE cards!) and I love that my friends and family recognize my card in the mail before even opening it! Good luck and Merry Christmas:)

on 10/28/2008 I still like to add my own little paragraph to any cards. I dislike impersonal bulk letters that people send out so your ideas will come in handy. The stamp is neat, too. I despise getting cards where all people do is sign their names. Must be the writer in me, hey? Keep up the great articles!

on 1/3/2008 Not enough folks are sending "real" cards anymore. It's always a treat to receive one in the mail. Thanks for the tips on making them unique and personal.
