Bullies can make growing up and going to school a very difficult process for some children. Being able to properly identify them before a problem gets violent or out of control is the first step toward combatting it.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Step1
Many times bullies associate with the "popular" crowd and have lots of friends to reinforce their behavior. They are sociable and know how to communicate with others.
Step2
Bullies also tend to have a very high self-esteem. They feel the need to put others down to support these emotions.
Step3
Bullies also typically exhibit anger problems and are frequently hot-tempered. They generally know how to manipulate their victims and have a need for self-dominance.
Step4
Bullies also tend to associate with other bullies and often share the same victims. Observing the bullies' friends could also help you identify other bullies of whom you may have been unaware.

Tips & Warnings

  • The more common stereotypes of bullies are not always accurate. They can come in all shapes and sizes.
