Whether you feel a little smelly at the end of the day or a loved one (or not so loved one) has commented that you smell--uh--different, you may want to try a few tricks to smell fresher throughout the day.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Eat more fruits and vegetables. If your diet is high in red meat and sugar you are probably backlogging your digestive system, which can cause bad odors to seep out of your skin. Cleanse your system and you'll not only smell better but you'll feel better too.

  2. Step 2

Take a supplement like Body Mint, which will neutralize the odors in your body.

  3. Step 3

Drink more water and avoid sugary sodas. Sugar actually slows down your digestive system, and it will also make you sluggish and clog your immune system.

  4. Step 4

Try using an antiperspirant instead of a plain deodorant. If sweat is your problem, this will keep you drier for longer and you won't get built up sweat that later turns smelly.

  5. Step 5

Switch shampoo and conditioner, or try using a clarifying shampoo once a week. Build up in your scalp can make your sweat smell terrible, so get rid of that gunk by using a cleansing formula.

on 4/30/2008 If your pits get a bit ripe you can try essential oils, such as Lemon grass and Rosemary. Vaginal powder on top of your antiperspirant works well as well.

on 2/20/2008 I've never heard of Body Mint. Good article. I like the idea of taking care of the problem from within instead of covering it up (which we all know does not work).
