Difficulty: Challenging
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Think abou the classified section of your local newspaper. It's always a good starting out point. Go online and add your information and resume to sites like monster, hotjobs, careerbuilder. Craig's List also provides good leads. If you know the exact job title you are trying to find, go to the company sites of specific companies most likely have ways to send in your E-resume.

  2. Step 2

If you are looking for quick work, go register with a temp agency. Most likely, you will have to make an appointment, meet with the agency, do some sort of skills test (depending on your field). Many times temporary work can lead to a full time job.

  3. Step 3

If you land an interview, do research on the company. Find out the history, competition, philosophy, etc. The more you are on your game, the easier you can convert the interview into an employment opportunity.

  4. Step 4

Manners. Sit up straight, don't cross your hands or your arms, smile when you talk and be polite. Naturally, you want to dress well for the interview. Make sure you have questions back for the interviewer. Ask them how they got the job or something on the history of the company. After the interview, be polite, shake hands and have say good bye. Don't linger around.
