Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Eggnog
  • Red punch
  • Candy canes
  • Christmas cookies or cupcakes
  • Appetizers
  • Chips and dip
  • Christmas CD
  • Santa hats
  • Glitter or fabric pens
  1. Step 1

Send out invitations to your friends inviting them to your Secret Santa Party. In the invitation, let your friends know that they need to bring a gift. Set a price limit and make it small. For example, $5 to $10 or $10 to $20.

  2. Step 2

Go to your local grocery store and buy eggnog, red punch, candy canes, Christmas cookies and cupcakes, chips and dip and appetizers of your choice. Examples of good appetizers are meat and cheese platters, veggie platters and desserts.

  3. Step 3

Go to your local arts and crafts store and buy Santa hats, glitter and fabric pens.

  4. Step 4

If you don't have Christmas decorations, head to your local store and grab a cheap Christmas tree, window ornaments and lights.

  5. Step 5

    Decorate your home.

  6. Step 6

Put on a Christmas CD and get ready for your guests. Once they arrive, allow them to mix, mingle and eat for a bit. Tell them to put their gifts underneath the Christmas tree.

  7. Step 7

Have everyone sit down. Depending on the number of guests, write a number on a pieces of paper and throw it in a hat. Allow your guests to reach into the hat and choose a number. That number will be the order in which they choose their gifts.
