Wonder What's In The Box ?

The Christmas shopping season often brings gitters to many who only make the trip to the mall twice a year; for a special event and Christmas shopping. Often, the racks and shelves are emptied with the worst items as remains. In this How-To, we are going to take a trip in our mind to the mall a couple days before Christmas and explore the are of last-minute GIFT GIVING.

Difficulty: Challenging
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Pen
  • Notebook Paper
  • Laptop/Computer
  • Phone
  • 60 Minutes
  • Critical Thinking Skills
  1. Step 1

Grab your pencil/pen and paper and write down everybody that you have to get a gift for. This gift list could even include: the unexpected guest who may show up for the Christmas party. Don't forget to set a budget!

  2. Step 2

Think about the hobbies of those individuals and write it beside their names. If you don't know a hobby, try their favorite color.

  3. Step 3

If step two does not help, take out your phone and text their closest relative and friend, asking "Where does PERSON like to eat?"

  4. Step 4

Now that your list is has been written down, you need to map out the store locations that would sale items for the hobby. Generally, a Discount Sales store like Wal-Mart and Target would be your worst place to go because many people would automatically assume to get everything that's need from those stores in one trip. My best bet is the mall register line would be a lot smoother and you'll be able to get a nice lunch in the food court after you're done.

  5. Step 5

Now that you have a map/store list; consider buying a local newspaper or browsing the web to see what products are on sale for those hobbies listed. Begin writing those items beside the name/hobby.

  6. Step 6

Now take a deep breath and get dressed. You might want to eat a small snack or breakfast to keep yourself energized. You're on a mission!

  7. Step 7

Now that you're at the mall, you should have received a text from the friend/family.... coincidently you may have received it on the way to the mall so you lucked out and have already gotten them a Favorite Restaurant GIFT CARD. GREAT START!

  8. Step 8

Look on your list and find which person has the most uncommon hobby. The hobbies often are unheard of, so what you will want to do for this individual is to get them a FUNNY Card from American Greetings and Hallmark and put some CASH in it, if you have the slightest idea where to get this gift.

  9. Step 9

Now that Jack is out of the way, lets go find a nice gift for Aunt Betty who loves to scrapbook. Aunt Betty keeps everything, so you may want to invest in a nice picture frame and have her name engraved on it. These gifts can be found at stores like Pier 1 Imports and/or Things Remembered. Personal gifts are always a winner!!! Regardless of the individual.

  10. Step 10

It's time to get gag gifts for the unexpected guest.......did someone say doughnuts.... or coffee ? STARBUCKS has great gift packages. A $5 gift card to any store like FYE Entertainment would work just as well. Make sure you can use it yourself because they may not show up.

  11. Step 11

You should be done with your list now. Your hands are full and your stomach is hungry. Go eat and don't forget to Watch that bag!
