Simple File Management
1. Move the mouse to the “Start” button
2. Click the “Start” button.
3. Move your mouse to “My Computer“.
4. Next, click on the icon “C: / Drive or your computer’s hard drive“.
5. Once the files you created appear on the screen, scroll down to see how many files you have. If you more than 100 files, then this procedure will a godsend to you.
6. Check the end of each file name along with the icon that accompanies it.
Look to see if your files have “.wps,” “.xls,” “.jpeg, “and “.txt.”
7. Make easy names that you can understand for each file folder you create. For example, “Jones’ Writing Projects,” “Jones’ Family Pictures,” or Jones’ Financial Records.”

Creating the E-file Chart
Start your E-file management chart by going through Microsoft Word, according to the E-file Management Packet: Basic Level by Delores Reeves. In of this program, you can create chart and move it to other programs like Microsoft Excel, Access, or Power Point. It is also easier because the typed text is more visible to the normal viewer. Here are the following steps:
1. Click on the icon “Table“.
2. Click on the icon “Insert“.
3. Click on the icon “Table.”
4. Create your table according to the specific size that you want.
5. Make sure you click the Enter button before you create the chart.
6. Type in your title of your E-file Chart

Creating hyperlinks for the E-file Chart
According to the American Heritage College Dictionary, hyperlinks are “links to electronic documents or files.” In these hyperlinks, you create a short cut which allows you to go directly to the file without have to take long steps or approaches. For example, to open a file in Microsoft Word, you can click File; click Open; click on the drop down window until you get to the disk drive you want, such as A:/. Click on A: /; go down the list of files until you find the one you want. Click on the file and immediately afterwards, it appears on the screen. This was a very long process to open one file. Image if you had to open hundreds or thousands because your job depended upon it. This is why hyperlinks are important. They shorten your work. Let’s create some to fill in the chart.
1. Move the mouse to the textbox in the chart.
2. Click on the icon Insert.
3. Click on the icon Hyperlink.
4. Go to the Drop down window.
5. Click on the file folders that you created.
6. Click on the file that you work on daily.
7. Click on the OK button.

Creating a shortcut for your E-file Management Chart
Once you have completed these steps successfully, repeat them for each item of the chart until you filled the chart completely. Save the E-file management chart either in your Microsoft Word file or create a shortcut for it.
1. Click on the Start button.
2. Move the mouse up to Documents, click it.
3. Move the mouse down to the file you want, click it.
4. Right click the file.
5. Move the mouse down to Send To, click it.
6. Move the mouse down to Desktop (shortcut), click it.
7. You have now created the shortcut for the E-file Management Chart.
