Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Things You’ll Need:
- Shrinky Dinks printer paper
- Beads
- Beading string/wire
- Crimp beads
- Pliers
- Wire cutters
- Clasp
- Computer/scanner
- Hole punch
Step1
Start by finding as many pictures of the kids, your pet, or who ever is near and dear to your heart. Scan them all into your computer. No special program is needed. You can put them into Word as long as they stay within the print boundaries.
Step2
Print them out on Shrinky Dinks paper. Anyone who does not know what this is check it out on ebay, most local craft stores carry it as soon as you know what you’re looking for. It is paper that when baked in the oven becomes hard plastic. Cut out each picture into a fun shape and punch a hole in the top. Remember this stuff shrinks about 5 times smaller so keep your proportions in mind. I experimented.
Step3
Bake them according to the instructions on the package. Really there is no trick here it is low heat for about 3-5 minutes on a shiny pan.
Step4
Once they have cooled string them on beading wire using regular beads as spacers between. Close the whole thing off by using the pliers to crimp the last bead on the clasp.
