So, you served ham for a holiday dinner. Everyone enjoyed and complimented you before leaving. Now you have a big hunk of meat to use up. Take heart as this is one of the most versatile leftovers you could ask for. You can use leftover ham for all three meals.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Use ham at breakfast. Slices of ham can cook in a pan right beside the eggs. Chunks of ham are great in scrambled eggs. Just cook the two together. Ham chunks go nicely in cream of wheat and grits, or they make a tasty addition to breakfast burrito.

  2. Step 2

Have ham for lunch. Cut up some chunks and drop them into vegetable soup, or any soup. Heat slices in a skillet and melt cheese over them for sandwiches. Diced ham mixes with mayonnaise for ham salad. Speaking of salad, ham goes good in toss green salads, potato salad and pasta salads.

  3. Step 3

Use ham for dinner. Pan frying is good for reheating slices to have with a full-blown meal. Potato dishes become entrées when ham slices are cooked into favorites like scalloped potatoes. Ham chunks make an entrée out of home made macaroni and cheese as well. See eHow for instructions on How to make macaroni and cheese with ham.

  4. Step 4

Once the ham is down to the point where you can’t cut slices off without running into a bone, then it’s time to make soup. Ham is the base for split pea soup, navy bean soup and many others.
