How to Clean Dirty Drip Pans

Stovetop drip pans can become dirty over time--so dirty they are black and you feel you should buy new ones. Here is an easy solution that will save you money.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • Easy-Off Oven Cleaner, (any spray type will do)
  • Plastic gloves
  • Plastic grocery bags

Step1
Remove burnes and dirty drip pans from stove top.
Step2
Place dirty drip pans into plastic grocery bags.
Step3
Wearing plastic gloves, spray both sides of drip pan, keeping drip pan inside of bag while spraying.
Step4
Securely tie grocery bag shut and set aside for 24 hours.

Tips & Warnings

  • For weekly touch ups, clean drip pans with an SOS pad to gently scrub clean.
  • Liquid oven cleaner can be hazardous to skin, babies and pets. Used grocery bags should be thrown away.
