Feeling good is a state of mind. Here are three steps one can take towards mental and physical well-being.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Energy
  • Positive Attitude
  1. Step 1

Laugh. Laughing is one of the best ways to achieve a positive energy flow through one’s body. Studies show that it takes more muscles to frown than to smile. Laughing is a way to release stress and to achieve a natural high without the aid of pseudo-substances that one may often seek to achieve this high.

  2. Step 2

Rock. Rock a baby to sleep. Feeling the love of a little one and seeing the innocence that he/she brings by simply falling asleep in the arms of a trusted caring adult is priceless. To see them smile from dreaming, or some may say gas, is a feeling that makes one forget all of the evil that abounds in the world. When a child falls asleep in your arms, it also is a serious trust that occurs. That child is expecting you to shield him from all dangers in the world. Falling asleep in an adult's arms provides the security that an adult will be there to protect that child.

  3. Step 3

Fight. Initially, it may seem hypocritical to place this verb in the list with the milder ones that help one feel better. However, fight in the figurative sense of the word to make things better. If there is an issue or cause that one has become passionate about, it is imperative that he/she fight for what he/she believes to be right. Join the humane society if you are passionate about mistreatment of animals. Go to the local school board or city/county council meeting if you are opposed to certain ordinances that are/are not being enforced. If one has children, this is a great way for the children to see their respected loved ones fighting figuratively rather than literally. It then helps them foster an appreciation for using their minds and ideas rather than their fists to stand firm for or against an issue.
