How to Make a Cheese Ball

This cheese ball is perfect with crackers, chips, and fresh vegetables.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 16 oz. (2 packages) cream cheese
  • 1 cup Monterey Jack cheese (shredded)
  • 1 cup extra-sharp cheddar cheese (shredded)
  • 1-2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce (to taste)
  • 1-2 tsp. lemon juice (to taste)
  • Dash salt (to taste)
  • Dash ground black pepper (to taste)
  • 2 tbsp. pimentos, chopped (optional)
  • 2 tbsp. red pepper, chopped (optional)
  • 2 tbsp. green onion, chopped (optional)
  • 1 cup pecans
  1. Step 1

    Mix all ingredients except the pecans until they are incorporated evenly.

  2. Step 2

    Using a nut-chopper, food processor, or knife, finely chop the pecans.

  3. Step 3

    Roll the cheese mixture into a large ball (or, if you prefer, a log).

  4. Step 4

    Roll the cheese ball in the chopped pecans, completely covering it.

  5. Step 5

    Serve with crackers, toast rounds, or fresh vegetables.

Tips & Warnings
  • You can experiment with all kinds of vegetables in this dip, or none at all.
  • For a different flavors, try swiss or other sharper cheeses instead of the ones listed above.
  • Some fruits, such as apples or pears, compliment the dip nicely.
