Those loose pool pavers getting under your skin? Or feet, to be precise? It's another one of those household tasks that you've been putting off weekend after weekend. Eventually they will crack, sink and can damage your pool. So get on it!

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Leveling sand
  • A cinder block
  • Large spackle knife
  • Screwdriver
  • Tube of clear waterproof silicone
  • Caulk gun
  • A towel
  • A broom
  1. Step 1

    Identify loose pavers.

  2. Step 2

Scrape off all old silicone surrounding pool and clean surface.

  3. Step 3

Use the screwdriver to lift loose pavers and set aside.

  4. Step 4

Add leveling sand and pack it to achieve height desired.

  5. Step 5

Put paver back into place. Then add sand on top and in between pavers to secure tightly.

  6. Step 6

Place towel over the paver, place cinder block on the towel and literally sit on it.

  7. Step 7

    Remove cinder block and towel.

  8. Step 8

Be sure that paver is level with others and stable.

  9. Step 9

Repeat steps 3 through 9 if needed.

  10. Step 10

After all pool pavers are secure, load silicone tube into caulk gun and seal only the paver side adjacent to the pool. Do not use silicone in between the pavers.

  11. Step 11

Sweep as much sand into crevices, then sweep remaining sand away from pool.

Tips & Warnings
  • About 4 tubes of clear silicone will seal a 10' X 28' inground pool.
  • Be sure to clean all the sand when you're done.
  • When squeezing silicone, try to squeeze as long of a bead as possible with one fluid motion.
  • Smooth each silicone segment with your damp finger.
  • Use caution lifting and moving cinder block.
