These restaurant-style mozzarella stuffed breadsticks are easy to make and taste great by themselves, as an appetizer, or served with your favorite pasta.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 8 mozzarella sticks (the kind you peel and eat)
  • 1 canister of 8 pre-made biscuits
  • 1/2 stick butter
  • 1/2 tbs. garlic powder
  • Cookie sheet
  • Basting brush
  • Aluminum foil
  • Non-stick cooking spray
  1. Step 1

Preheat your oven to the temperature directed in the baking directions for your biscuits.

  2. Step 2

Open your biscuits and, using a rolling pan, roll them into ovals slightly longer than your cheese sticks.

  3. Step 3

Unwrap a cheese stick and place it on a biscuit, then roll the cheese up in the center of the biscuit. Use the overlapping dough on each end to tuck underneath, sealing the cheese on the inside.

  4. Step 4

Repeat Step 3 for the remaining cheese.

  5. Step 5

Cover your cookie sheet in foil and spray the foil with non-stick cooking spray.

  6. Step 6

Arrange your breadsticks on the cookie sheet.

  7. Step 7

Microwave the butter and mix in the garlic powder,

  8. Step 8

Using your basting brush, apply the butter mixture to the top of each breadstick.

  9. Step 9

Bake the breadsticks as directed on the back of the package.

  10. Step 10

Baste the breadsticks once more with the butter mixture and serve warm.

Tips & Warnings
  • You can use any kind of pre-made biscuit or pre-made dough, but I would avoid against using the flaky-style biscuits, as they won't stay together well.
  • Be careful when eating, especially if they're straight from the oven, as the cheese may be extremely hot.
