How to Cook Linguine With White Clam Sauce

This is a pasta favorite that can be done in a flash.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 1 10-ounce can whole baby clams, undrained
  • 2 tablespoons light butter
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tablespoon flour
  • ½ cup dry white wine
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon dried thyme
  • Pepper
  • 1 6 ½ ounce minced clams, drained
  • 8 ounces uncooked linguine (4 cups cooked)
  1. Step 1

    Drain baby clams in sieve over bowl. Reserve the juice.

  2. Step 2

    Heat butter and olive oil in medium saucepan over medium heat.

  3. Step 3

    Add garlic. Sauté 1 minute.

  4. Step 4

    Stir in flour, clam juice, wine, parsley, thyme and pepper. Cook 2 minutes, stirring frequently.

  5. Step 5

    Add baby clams. Cook 3 minutes until thoroughly heated. Pour over pasta.
