How to Clean a DVD or CD with dish detergent

If you have stubborn dirt on your DVD or CD, there is a way to remove it.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • a dry cotton cloth, some water and a little bit of detergent.
  1. Step 1

    Use a soft dry cloth with no lint to clean your DVD or CD.

  2. Step 2

    Hold the DVD or CD on the outer rim and use the dry cotton cloth to wipe in straight strokes, go up and down. DO NOT Clean using circular movements.

  3. Step 3

    To remove stubborn dirt, use water with a small portion of mild dish detergent. Wring out the cloth and proceed to clean the DVD or CD in straight strokes. Use another dry cotton cloth to dry.

Tips & Warnings
  • BE Careful not to wet the barcode, it might permanently damage your DVD or CD
