A network presentation reel is the video business card and vocal resume of a TV network. This is a money-generated item packed with subliminal hype!

Instructions

Difficulty: Challenging

Step1
Attend several meetings to determine the direction and target market for the reel.
Step2
Ask if there will be individual reels per day part, an all encompassing reel to cover a day on the network or maybe even just highlights of the most watched shows or original programming.
Step3
Call your team together and discuss immediate target areas.
Step4
Write down draft scripts, footage ideas, graphics concepts and music bed options.
Step5
Pull and notate on script all related clips and music.
Step6
Discuss graphic options and ideas with editor.
Step7
Create transitional graphics with editor.
Step8
Create day-part segment graphics if none are currently airing on the network.
Step9
Bring all elements and components together with team and editor.
Step10
Submit several versions for approval.
