How to Cook Mother's Lemon Chicken

Here's a chicken recipe that's been popular for generations. It requires little preparation so that you can whip it up in minutes and yet produce a gourmet meal that will impress your guests.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • 4 boneless chicken breasts
  • ½ cup flour
  • ¼ cup margarine
  • 2 tablespoons minced garlic
  • 1 cup apple juice
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • ½ teaspoon pepper

Step1
Coat chicken with flour and set aside.
Step2
Melt margarine in large skillet over medium heat; add chicken and garlic. Cook 8 minutes or until browned on both sides, turning once. Remove and keep warm.
Step3
Add apple juice, lemon juice and pepper to skillet, stirring to loosen particles from the bottom of the skillet. Bring to a boil; cook 10 minutes or until reduced to ½ cup. Pour over chicken and serve.
