Things You'll Need:
- Photo frame ornaments
- Scissors
- Cards to display
-
Step 1
Buy photo frame ornaments from a local crafts store. These tend to be small frames but some larger ones available.
-
Step 2
Trim your cards to fit your photo frames. Try to cut out the aspect of the card that you like the most or is most memorable. If the card features a photo of a family, you will want to get everyone in the frame. That is unless Uncle Tom is on the lam from the law in Mexico now, you can probably cut him out.
-
Step 3
Decorate your tree with your Christmas cards. You will find that the frames are heavier than most ornaments so you will need to find thick branches on which to perch them.
-
Step 4
Enjoy your decorations! They change every year, and you can hang on to your absolute favorites for years to come. Plus the frames can be recycled year after year.

on 11/16/2009 I love this idea. I think I'll make an ornament out of our own Christmas photos from each year as well. Thanks! I just finished an article on how to make memorable Christmas photo cards so this is perfect... http://www.ehow.com/how_5654281_make-memorable-christmas-photo-cards.html
