Its a good idea for her to take the Hunting Safety course available even if it is not required by law. This course will teach the basics about gun safety as well as safety while hunting.
Step2
Outfit her.
Buy her a great, comfortable outfit that actually fits. Women are not men and do not want to look like them either. Try to avoid buying men's clothing or youth boy's clothing. There is a very limited selection of women's hunting clothing so you may have to be creative and look in places like the gap.com for pants that will fit her body. I found a great pair at JCrew.com.
DON'T FORGET THE BLAZE ORANGE HAT!
Step3
The Gun.
She will need a lightweight gun with less recoil than most shot guns. If she uses a gun that's too powerful and heavy, it could spoil the experience for her altogether.
Have her try out a few different guns for size. Try not to force your opinions on her. If she's comfortable with a gun size, only she will know.
Step4
Pick an easy hunt. Don't have her jumping through puddles and climbing over rocks. Pick a nice lady-like hunt through a field. If its raining or snowing, reschedule. Remember to make it as pleasant as possible.
Step5
Carry the bird for her yourself the first time. She may not appreciate having the warm, dead bird on her back the first hunt. Let her warm up to the idea before sticking it back there.
Step6
Think. Before you smear that first kill on her face, would she appreciate it and laugh or would she freak out and cry? Personally, I thought it was funny but I know lots of women who would not.
Step7
Skin and/or feather the bird for her. Then cook up your favorite recipe and let her enjoy it. Try not to "shove it in her face". Nobody likes that and aggressive behavior it is not accepted well by women especially.
Tips & Warnings
Hunting your own birds is an excellent source of organic meat. On top of that, you can be sure that the meat is fresh and was handled safely. So many people are use to buying a chicken from the supermarket and are completely desensitized to the handling and processing that those chickens go through to get to their plate.
