You can burn flash video files, just like those on youtube, then you can burn to CD for view on your DVD player. It takes a little bit of patience, but anyone can do it with a some work and know how.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderate

Things You’ll Need:

  • Firefox Browser
  • Download Helper Add-on for Firefox
  • Free Download Manager
  • any CD burner program that can convert files to MPEG, such as Nero.
Step1
You'll need to download and use the Firefox browser on your PC.
Step2
Install a free Firefox browser plug-in into your Firefox browser called ‘Download Helper’. You can do this by going to the main menu and selecting: Tools/Add-Ons and then ‘Get Extensions’. Put Download Helper in the search field and then install it into your browser.
Step3
Once you have loaded Download Helper into your browser, you will see an icon at the top of the browser. It’s three balloons spinning around in circles. Navigate to the video you would like to download and then click on the spinning balloon icon. You will see all files that you can download listed from the balloons. Select the main file which is the video. There may be other files listed, so you would want to load the largest file, that is the flash video file that you want. You can download it on to the desktop or where you have designated.
Step4
Once you have downloaded the file, you will then need to convert the file to the mp4 format. There is a free program called Free Download Manager that will do this for you. Just input Free Download Manager into a search to locate where to download it. FDM is a great tool to convert files and control downloads. Highly recommended and totally free!
Step5
Just drag and drop the flash file into FDM and then select convert, it will then convert the file into mp4. mp4 files can be loaded into ipods and other mp4 players, however, it can not be used to play in a standard DVD player. You will need to again convert the mp4 file into an MPEG file to view on your DVD player.
Step6
Several CD burner programs have an internal file converter within, and there are even web based converters that can be used. Once you have converted the file to MPEG, you can then burn and view it on your DVD player!
