When you buy raw shrimps, try to find the ones that are peeled and deveined. It will save you a lot of work unless you want to make a seafood soup, only in that case buy it with the shell because the shell gives more flavor to the soup.

Difficulty: Easy

Things You'll Need:

  • 3 lb. fresh or frozen raw shrimps, peeled and deveined
  • 4 tbs. butter
  • Water to cover the shrimps
  • Salt and pepper

Add enough water to the saucepan to cover the shrimps. Add butter, salt and pepper and cover.

  3. Step 3

on 12/21/2008 Well I kind of agree on the salt and pepper giving flavor to the shrimp. Although that isn't exactly true. The salt and pepper makes the flavor of the shrimp more consistent. It's actually the butter that's doing the flavoring in this dish.
