Scrapbook supplies can be used to create adorable craft items. Picture blocks are gaining popularity in the scrapbook crafting community. Simple wooden blocks decorated with scrapbook paper and embellishments can be used to exhibit picture memories. Here is how to make a basic scrapbook picture block that you can display in your home.

Things You'll Need:

  • Square wooden blocks (any size) or 3-by-3 post
  • Artsy Collage adhesive (acid-free, photo-friendly adhesive sealant)
  • Scrapbook paper
  • Embellishments (ribbon, brads, eyelets, glitter, buttons and so forth)
  • Photographs
  • Table saw (if cutting your own wood)
  1. Step 1

    Buy wooden blocks or cut out your own from a 3-by-3 wooden post.

  2. Step 2

    Cut decorative scrapbook paper into squares to fit the size of your wooden blocks.

  3. Step 3

    Completely cover the wood using scrapbook paper or paint.

  4. Step 4

    Conceal the scrapbook paper with an adhesive like Artsy Collage, making sure to glue down all the corners.

  5. Step 5

    Crop and adhere your photographs to the covered wooden blocks. Seal the photos with Artsy Collage if desired.

  6. Step 6

    Embellish with beads, ribbon, glitter or other decorative items.
