Glitter has become a popular decoration for scrapbook pages. Prisma glitter is an excellent formula to use on scrapbook decorations because of its texture and shine. Fine substances like glitter can be tricky when it comes to getting it to stick and stay stuck on your pages. There are a few tricks to making your glitter stick on the scrapbook paper.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1

Lay out your scrapbook page and decide where you want to use the glitter accents. Glitter can be used to add sparkle to embellishments or for a background design.

  2. Step 2

Apply the adhesive to the surface where you want the glitter accents. Liquid adhesive should be used sparingly; be careful not to get big globs or clumps.

  3. Step 3

Once you have the proper amount of adhesive on your embellishment or paper surface, sprinkle the glitter all over the area, covering it completely.

  4. Step 4

Allow the adhesive to dry for a few minutes, then gently shake off the excess glitter.

  5. Step 5

Repeat the process for additional embellishments.

Tips & Warnings
  • Double-sided tape can be a great adhesive for sticking glitter to your pages. Simply place the double-sided tape on the area where you want your glitter and pour the glitter on the tape. Press down on the glitter to get it to stick. Shake off the excess and repeat as needed.
  • Glitter can be messy, so make sure you have something underneath your work surface to catch the excess material.
  • Use glitter to highlight a die-cut or sticker embellishment.
  • Glitter gel is also a popular way to make your pages sparkle. This type of glitter is available at many scrapbook supply and craft stores.
  • Certain types of glitter can scratch photographs and cause damage to different elements of your scrapbook page, so it is important to make sure your glitter is stuck to your surface and will not rub off easily.
  • Glitter that is cut in extremely fine pieces, like Prisma glitter, is less likely to damage any page elements.
