These parties (Party-Lite, Home Interior or Mary Kay Cosmetics) offer free merchandise to people who "book" to host one. It's a great idea for this time of year.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

    Book your party with consultant.

  2. Step 2

Get your invitations out about 1 1/2 weeks before party date.

  3. Step 3

Purchase disposable plates, cutlery, napkins and cups.

  4. Step 4

The day of party or night before prepare most of the snacks. Also purchase drinks - include diet and regular soda. Make a pot of coffee.

  5. Step 5

When your guests arrive introduce your consultant and let the consultant take it from there.

Tips & Warnings
  • Make sure you have ice on hand for the drinks.
  • Have cream and sugar for the coffee.
  • Have enough pens for everyone to write their orders.
  • Do not force your guests to participate in an activity. If they don't want a facial or foot soak, let it be.
  • Make sure guests know when orders are in and when they have to pay.
