Parents who are dealing with divorce are not always able to complete person-to-person visitation. These parents do not have to give up all visitation. Virtual visitation is available for a near-personal experience.
What is virtual visitation? Virtual visitation is the use of interactive software to complete child visitation. These visits can be either ordered by a judge or chosen by parents.
Step2
Set the time. Both parties will need to set a time for the visitation to take place. Virtual visitation is an authorized form of visitation, and therefore the times set by the judge are required to be followed.
Step3
Log onto the Internet. Both parties will need to have the appropriate software and hardware to log into the interactive online experience. This software and hardware is not provided by the courts. There are no regulations regarding which software and hardware to use.
Step4
Interact with the children. Just as with face-to-face visitation, the parents (on one end of a Web camera) will interact with the child or children (on the other end of a Web camera). This interaction can include talking, playing games and simply having fun.
Tips & Warnings
Parents who are out of town on long business trips can use these same techniques.
Do not assume just because the visitation is virtual that it can be avoided.

Very useful Summer. I had to do a court-ordered setup like this for a relative 5 years ago - and it was quite a new trend then. But it worked rather well.
