With millions of Internet pages all trying to capture the same consumer attention, it is more than important to rank highly on search engines. The best way to climb in rank is with the appropriate keyword density. Checking a text's keyword density is a quick and easy task.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Collect your words. Before you can check a document's keyword density, you will need to collect the document. If the document is in written form, the text will need to be typed into a word processing program before checking the keyword density.

  2. Step 2

Visit the Textalyser website (see Resources below).

  3. Step 3

Copy and paste your document into the provided empty box. This box should contain the entire document you wish to check for proper keyword density.

  4. Step 4

Read the results. The Textalyser tool offers a plethora of information about the document you analyze. Scrolling down the page, the program will give the top keywords and their total density for the document.

Tips & Warnings
  • If the keyword density is too low, try adding a few more keywords and recheck.
  • Always add keywords to the word processor file on your computer and save.
  • Never change the document only in the Textalyser box.
