The holiday season gives plenty of events to dress up for. Here is a simple to make accessory that will complement any outfit.

Things You'll Need:

  • A length of lace or ribbon long enough to go around your neck and tie into a bow. Choose color or material to match or compliment your outfit.
  • Thread to match ribbon or lace.
  • The button racks at Walmart sewing centers have all kinds of buttons. You can choose sparkly ones or different shapes. These can be used for decoration on your choker.

    How to Make a Lace or Ribbon Choker

  1. Step 1

    Measure on the ribbon where you want the button to go and mark with a straight pin.

  2. Step 2

    Sew the button on using several small stitches.

  3. Step 3

    Use a warm iron and press your sewing down so ribbon/lace lays flat.

Tips & Warnings
  • You can measure enough ribbon/lace to hang down if you want.
  • You can also add more buttons if you want, maybe smaller ones on either side of a large one.
