How to Plant Your Name

This is a fun and unusual way to grow a plant. Make one in your name and make one for a friend as a gift. Read on to learn how to plant your name.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Things You’ll Need:

• Disposable aluminum pan
• Empty cereal box
• Scissors
• Potting soil
• Grass seeds
• Water

1. Write the name that you are doing on the inside of the empty cereal box (or other suitable cardboard) in large block type lettering. Cut out the letters.
2. Fill your container approximately three-fourths full with potting soil.
3. Lay your stencil on top of the soil and carefully place the grass seeds in the open area of the name. Remove the stencil.
4. Pour a thin layer of dirt on top of it all to cover the seeds and carefully water.

Tips & Warnings

• Use a sprinkler head to water gently so the seeds don't float around at first.
