Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Things You’ll Need:
- Internet Connection
- Credit/Debit Card
- Automobile
- Tape Measure
- Patience
Step1
This will give you an idea of how to measure!
First you will need the diameter of your tree and stand in order to determine the diameter of your ideal train set.
- Check the box for the diameter of your tree at the base.
- If you want the train at the outer edge of the tree this will be
necessary
Step2
Ok, now you have the diameter. Begin your shopping online or in-store.
- Pay attention to the diameter of your train set.
- Consider the diameter your stand will take up in order to determine
how close to the edge your train will be.
Step3
Determine how your train set is powered and operated. If you only want a small, cheaper system then a battery operated constant running system is what you want.
If you wish to have the ability to stop and start your train set it may cost you a bit more. And will probably need to be able to plug your train in!

on 12/7/2007 This is a great idea. I once saw one set up that climbed the tree around and round up and down. It was quite the sight to see.
