How to fix a cooking mistake.

Things You'll Need:

  • The chocolate or chips that you overmelted/heated on the stove or in the microwave.
  • Vegetable Oil
  • Strong Arms
  1. Step 1

    If you forget and overmelt/heat your baking chocolate or chips on the stove or in the microwave when making fudge or candy.

  2. Step 2

    It can be fixed.

  3. Step 3

    Add a few drops of vegetable oil and stir. Keep adding vegetable oil little by little and stirring until the chocolate becomes soft again.

Tips & Warnings
  • This also makes your chocolate shiny if it isn't burnt too bad and can be used for very pretty candies.
  • If the chocolate is black and smells burnt - don't bother. Throw it away and just cook it at a lower temperate or for less time and watch it closer next time.
