Here's a simple project to keep kids entertained on snow days or during Christmas vacation. Read on to learn how to make a paper bag puppet.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Small lunch size paper bags
  • Markers
  • Scissors
  • Construction paper and glue
  1. Step 1

Put your hand into the paper to show kids how to make the puppet. You will essentially put the puppet features on the bottom of the bag.

  2. Step 2

Features can be drawn on or made from construction paper and glued on.
Make the eyes, mouth, nose and hair if you want.

  3. Step 3

The mouth will be made where the bottom fold meets the first fold on the bag. Place top lip on bottom of bag and bottom lip on first fold line on bag. When you put your hand into bag it should look like the puppet is talking.

  4. Step 4

Have a puppet show with the kids.

Tips & Warnings
  • You can make the puppets for any holiday that is near. For Christmas use cotton balls and red construction paper to make Santa puppets.
  • An adult should help younger kids with scissors and glue.
