Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Denim crochet thread
  • H hook
  • Yarn or tapestry needle

    How to Make the Filler

  1. Step 1

Combine all of the ingredients in a large Ziploc bag or jar.

  2. Step 2

Shake the mixture for at least two minutes to ensure even coverage.

  3. Step 3

    Set aside until later.

  4. How to Make the Inner Fabric Bag

  5. Step 1

Cut a 5 x 7 pattern out of the paper bag.

  6. Step 2

Cut your two fabric pieces using the paper pattern.

  7. Step 3

With the right sides together, sew up three sides with a 1/2-inch seam allowance to create a 4 x 6 bag.

  8. Step 4

Invert the bag and fill with the bath salts mixture.

  9. Step 5

Turn in the seam allowance on the last side and sew shut. Sew around the entire seam allowance again to reinforce it and help prevent leakage of the filler.

  10. How to Make the Crocheted Bag

  11. Step 1

    Chain 24 stitches.

  12. Step 2

Beginning with the second chain from the hook, (sl, hdc) across. Chain 1 and turn.

  13. Step 3

Skip first stitch and (hdc, sl) to the end of the row, ending with sl stitch in the turning chain. Chain 1 and turn.

  14. Step 4

Repeat Step 3 for 16 additional rows.

  15. Step 5

Sc around all sides, with 2 sc at the corners. Join w/sl and end off, leaving enough length to sew together the two long sides and one short side. Place the sewn bag into the crocheted casing.

Tips & Warnings
  • The crocheted casing is washable just remove the inside bag and wash in cold water.
