Many people pick their wedding date specifically because of the season. Which season is perfect for your wedding? Here are some ways that you can choose when you should have your wedding.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Discuss with your spouse-to-be which season is her favorite. If you both have the same favorite season, planning the wedding will be a breeze. If not, however, you’ll want to discuss a compromise.

  2. Step 2

Choose the destination for the wedding before you choose the season. The location of the wedding will have a large impact on the season you choose.

  3. Step 3

Choose which season accentuates the best qualities of your wedding destination. If you want to get married in Maine, for example, there are some major differences between summer and winter.

  4. Step 4

Check the availability of both the church and the reception destination during different seasons. Depending on where you are getting married, a certain season will almost definitely have more openings than others.

  5. Step 5

Choose themes for your wedding before you choose a season. Many people will actually choose something like a color scheme, for example, based upon the season of the wedding.

  6. Step 6

Consider your guests while choosing a season. If you want a large crowd for your wedding, you’re going to want to pick a time of year in which it is easy for others to attend the wedding. Planning a winter wedding in a northern state, for example, may make it difficult for friends and relatives to attend (depending on the wedding).
