How to prevent bed sores

I have recently undertaken the care of my bed-ridden mother. What frightened me more than anything, where the bed sores. It is not just a sore. To prevent them, is easier than to treat them.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Iodine
  • Anti-acid (eg Maalox)
  • Anti-fungis powder (eg Daktarin)
  • Olive oil soap
  1. Step 1

    Wash the area thoroughly with the olive oil soap. There is no need to rinse out well. Dry, by patting and not rubbing, with absorbent paper

  2. Step 2

    In a small container, mix approximately 50ml anti-acid(Maalox) with 10ml iodine (Betadine.
    With a cotton swab, apply the mixture, especially over the area where the spine ends. The patient must lie on her side, to dry, for at least half an hour.

  3. Step 3

    Apply anti-fungis power to all vulnerable areas, including under the arms.

Tips & Warnings
  • A protein rich diet is essential. 1 whole egg and 2 egg whites, per day are a must.
  • To prevent bed sores is easier than to treat them.
