Getting credit for your work is important. Following are two ways you can name stamp your photos. This can be done by adding a text box to your picture in Photoshop, or by adding a text box in a program such as PowerPoint. Anyone who sees your image will know the owner. Read on to learn how to name stamp your photos.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • One of your original photos
  • Adobe Photoshop Elements or Microsoft PowerPoint
  1. Step 1

To name stamp a picture in Photoshop Elements, click on the "Horizontal Type Tool" on the leftmost toolbar. Draw a box on your image wherever you want your text to appear. Be sure you select the right font size, face and color from the toolbar on the top of your screen. Type your name in the box. A variation of your name, such as "Photo By..." is also acceptable. Some people use the copyright symbol as well. That's all there is to it. You have now labeled yourself the author of your image.

  2. Step 2

To do the same thing using PowerPoint, open the program, then go to "Insert" and select "Image" from the drop down menu. Next, choose "From File", and open the image you want to edit.

  3. Step 3

Once the image is open in PowerPoint, stretch it to cover the entire slide. (If your image is not standard size, you will not be able to stretch it across the slide without some distortion. You may choose to edit the image in Photoshop instead.)

  4. Step 4

Now, go back to "Insert" and select "Text Box" from the drop-down menu. Using the cursor, draw a box where you would like for your name stamp to appear. Type your text. Don't forget to set your font face, size and color, and also set the fill color of the text box to "No Fill."

  5. Step 5

Finally, using "File," "Save As", save your file as a jpeg (or other graphic format). The text box with your name stamp will become a permanent part of your image. It's that easy.
