Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Things You’ll Need:
Step1
Watch the classics. Shows like Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer, How the Grinch Stole Christmas and Santa Claus Is Coming to Town have aired every year since the early1960’s. No Christmas would be complete without at least one viewing of these classics. Another can’t-miss Christmas special is A Charlie Brown Christmas, which is one of the rare kid’s specials that addresses the true meaning of Christmas.
Step2
Pick a few good movies. It’s a Wonderful Life and A Christmas Story are two of the most popular Christmas movies of all time. You can’t go wrong with either of these films. Some more “recent” classics include The Santa Clause series starring Tim Allen and Elf starring Will Ferrell.
Step3
Check out those women’s networks. Networks like Lifetime and Oxygen offer a slew of made for TV Christmas movies. A made for TV classic is Ebbie starring Susan Lucci. A more recent TV movie is Santa Baby starring Jenny McCarthy. If you check your program listings you will be amazed at all of the titles.
Step4
Don’t discount those “corny” Christmas episodes of your favorite TV shows. The TV Land network airs their annual Merrython, which offers 24 hours of continuous Christmas- themed episodes of classic TV shows. Some of the best Christmas episodes are from The Brady Bunch, All in the Family and Mary Tyler Moore.
