How to Rank Up on Call of Duty 4
"Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare" was released in 2007 to universal acclaim. The first-person shooter sets the player in modern combat, with intense firefighters and sniper missions. There are 55 levels that a gamer can rank up to.

Get to know the game maps by playing every mission in story mode. This will help you when you play the multiplayer games online. Being familiar with each game map will increase your chances of wining games and racking up points. After gaining familiarity with the game, choose a multiplayer game mode that will rack up the most points. The top three are "Domination," "Headquarters" and "Sabotage."

Play "Domination" mode, also known as capture the flag. There are three flags spread out throughout the game map that your team must capture. Points are giving to each team that has control of a flag. The more flags captured, the more points you get. An average game runs for about 10 minutes.

Tackle "Headquarters" mode, which is similar to capture flag, but instead of flags a team must capture and hold control of one base at a time for points, for a total of 250 points. One benefit of "Headquarters" is even if one player dies but his team keeps control of the base, the points keep adding up, 5 points every five seconds. An average game runs about 15 minutes.

Play "Sabotage," in which a bomb has been placed in the center of the game map. Each team fights to destroy the opposing team's objective. If the enemy team plants the bomb, your team must defuse it before time runs out. When your team has the bomb, your team must plant and defend it to get points.

Complete the "Challenges" to receive different amounts of XP points for each challenge you finish. To see the list of "Challenges," click "Barracks", then "Challenges." There are 10 "Challenge" groups, but keep in mind that some have to be unlocked, which can be done only when you reach certain levels of rank.

Tips & Warnings
Frag grenades are your best friend; remember to cook the grenade before you throw it. This will keep your enemy from being able to pick up your grenade and throw it back at you.
