There are 66 books in the Bible and more than 30,000 verses. Even if you spend a lot of time memorizing Bible passages, it might still be hard to find verse about a particular word or topic when you want to. There is an easy way to find the Bible passages you want.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Bible
  • Exhaustive concordance or the Internet
  1. Step 1

Write down on a piece of paper the topics or words you want to research. Also, if you don't mind doing that in your Bible, highlight verses of particular meaning.

  2. Step 2

Buy an exhaustive concordance at a Christian bookstore or wherever you find one (there are concordances for many versions of the Bible.) A concordance has a listing of almost every word in the Bible, at least all the important words, and a listing of every verse or passage that contains that word.

  3. Step 3

Look up the words or topics you have written down and write down the Bible passages or verses that contain them. Look up verses that contain the words or topics listed in the verses you highlighted in your Bible. A concordance has words listed alphabetically, like a dictionary.

  4. Step 4

Search on the Internet if you don't want to buy a concordance (an exhaustive concordance is better than the concordance in the back of your Bible.).

Tips & Warnings
  • You can also download Bibles, Bible Dictionaries, and concordances online and save them to your hard drive, so you don't have to go to the Internet each time to use them.
  • Many of those types of resources are free.
