As a smoker myself I know how hard it is to quit smoking and with the added extras made from the companies, makes it even harder. Many things causes people to smoke, but the most common way that I have found is stress, and I know this because if I go without a smoke for like three hours I tend to get pretty uptight, so does most the other people that I know. Now the steps that I am going to give may not help all, but it will give you an idea of what you will go through once you start quitting, so note that this is morally a guide.

Instructions

Difficulty: Challenging

Step1
When you begin the quitting process, you will find that you are more hungry than you have ever been before. That is because you eat less when you smoke than you do when you don't. Your blood takes in all that tar and nicotine that it's hard for your body to get what it needs from all groups of your four major food groups. So it's a great Idea to have plenty of healthy meals because in all honesty you will gain the weight.

Stocking up on healthy meals before you start the quitting process is a great idea.
Step2
You will find yourself wanting to light up after you have started this quitting process, because your body craves it and also that you have been doing it for so long that it's become a hard habit to brake. You will find yourself grabbing something to chew on like pens and so on, in which can harm your teeth.

Buying enough gum will help with the chewing part of this Process.
Step3
It's no easy task and you will find yourself snapping over silly things, this is do to the stress in which will have you wanting to light up even more. This is where you need a place that is quiet, no signs of cigarettes nor ash trays around, this will help keep you calm.

Reading and listening to music is a great form of relaxation. Get rid of all temptations.

Tips & Warnings

  • Advice: Like I have said this will not work for all, so note that this is morally a guide to better show you that it takes a very strong will to pull it off.
  • Warning: Most already knows of the risks and what could happen, also the percentage of the risk to get cancer, so not much of anything else needs to be said to warn you of the risk factor!

on 3/24/2008 Sure laser therapy could help those who could afford to go through all of that, but what most don't quite understand is that when it comes down to money, it cost more to quit than it does to buy a pack a day. One box of CQ cost more than a carton, and just doesn't work, Gum, pills, everything that CQ has out there. Now laser therapy itself has to at least run way over a grand. Just figure that point should be made.

Hell passing laws to where you can't smoke around an area or even any where else is really not going to get people to quit. I feel that the more that people make an issue about it the more the smokers are going to light up. And why is that you might ask? That is because of the stress level that other causes, you have to think Stress is some of the reasons most not all but most people started smoking in the first place, it gave them the sensation and with that sensation came

on 3/18/2008 I was a pack and a half a day smoker and quit smoking in one 30-minute treatment with laser therapy. I went to a company called Freedom Laser Therapy that provides a painfree low-level laser procedure which helps alleviate nicotine withdrawal symptoms. The staff at Freedom Laser Therapy is dedicated and passionate about helping smokers end their nicotine addiction.

I would really recommend laser therapy to help you quit smoking. Go to their locations page to find a Freedom Laser Therapy clinic or a local quit smoking laser therapy practionioner in your area. http://www.freedomlasertherapy.com
