Finding the perfect birdbath location is not always easy. The ground slopes too much. The bushes are too dense. You can't see the birdbath from your favorite bird viewing location. Hanging a birdbath in a tree can be a creative solution. Read on to learn more.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Hanging birdbath with chain
  • Branch hook
  1. Step 1

Find a branch that is within arm's reach. Remember, you will need to be able to reach the birdbath to clean and refill with water.

  2. Step 2

Place the branch hook over the branch. Tug on the hook to be sure the branch can hold the weight of a filled birdbath.

  3. Step 3

Install the chain onto the hanging birdbath.

  4. Step 4

Gather the opposite ends of the chain and slip them over the free end of the branch hook.

  5. Step 5

Level the birdbath. Adjust the chain length, if needed.

  6. Step 6

    Fill with water. Enjoy.

Tips & Warnings
  • Do not place too close to bird feeders. Seeds falling into the birdbath will quickly foul the water.
