You enjoy feeding and watching birds. Now you’re ready for the next step, a birdbath. But where do you put it? Read on for some easy steps to locating and setting up a birdbath in your yard.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • Birdbath
  • Water
  • Pruners
  • Soil or rocks for leveling

Step1
Find a shady or partially shady location that is viewable from a window or sitting location in the yard.
Step2
Level location, if needed. The birdbath should not rock or slope. You can use soil, rocks, or other means to level the location.
Step3
Trim bushes away from the birdbath to reduce the hiding locations for predators.
Step4
Fill birdbath with water.
Step5
Relax and enjoy.

Tips & Warnings

  • Avoid placing the birdbath under trees to minimize the amount of debris that lands in the birdbath.
