Candles Add Warmth! Candles Add Warmth!

Rate: (1 Ratings)

Rising energy costs have forced many of us to lower our thermostats. Here are some suggestions for staying warm during these trying times.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • A warm robe
  • A warm coat
  • Scented candles
  • An under-the-door draft stopper (or 2 or 3)
  • Brightly colored clothing
  • A DVD of a fireplace for your bedroom TV

Step1
Locate areas in your home where there are drafts under the doors. Place your draft stoppers here to help insulate these areas.
Step2
Wear brightly colored clothing to help you feel warm. Reds, oranges, and browns will psychologically heat you up!
Step3
At night before bed, wrap up in a warm robe.
Step4
Burn scented candles with warm scents such as Spice or Cinnamon. These will help you feel warm even when it is chilly outside.
Step5
Watch your DVD of a fireplace before retiring for the evening to help feel warm.

Tips & Warnings

  • Never leave your candles burning unattended! This causes fires.
