Doing fun projects with your children provides a wonderful bonding experience during this magical time of year! Read on to learn how.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • A plain grapevine wreath purchased from a hobby store
  • A bow
  • Colorful 1-inch-wide ribbon
  • A hot glue gun
  • Pine cones
  • Holly berries
  1. Step 1

Wrap your wreath loosely with the ribbon, anchoring it at several points using the hot glue gun. Make sure to anchor it only on the back side of the wreath. Be sure to supervise your child well when using the glue gun as it is hot!

  2. Step 2

Glue the bow at the top of the wreath.

  3. Step 3

Glue the pine cones on the wreath, being sure to keep the point of insertion inside the grapevine so the entire assembly looks natural.

  4. Step 4

Add holly berries around the edges for color.

Tips & Warnings
  • Use only as much glue as you need, so you don't have globs of glue detracting from the effect.
  • If desired, spray the pine cones first with flocking spray so they look like they have snow on them.
  • Do not touch the edges or end of the glue gun as it is quite hot!
  • If your children are under 10, it is a good idea to let them point to where they want the decorations while you man the glue gun.
