Taking Twin Babies or Toddlers on (Winter) Walks

Before going on a walk with your twins, make sure each twin is bundled up in a warm jacket or sweater. If need be, but a hoodie on each twins head will prevent colds.

  2. Step 2

If your twins are semi independent like mine, they will want to put on their jackets and zip them up as well. Both my twins are semi independent and love putting on their own jackets.

Sit your twins in baby stroller. If one twin likes to kick front seat more than the other, sit that twin in front seat.

  4. Step 4
    Canopies Open Over Twins Heads

Once your twins are seated and strapped in, as I like to say, begun your walk around your block or neighborhood. Just in case it were to rain in your walk, make sure canopies are open to catch falling rain.

  5. Step 5
Plush Toys Hanging from String on Stroller

While walking with your twins, it is always a good idea to have a toy. This toy should be attached to a string, on both ends, then attached to stroller for your babies to grab and play with. The toys attached to my stroller, in this photo, I have had since my twins were infants and they still play with them for a distraction.

  6. Step 6

Walking with your twins can be educational too. Yes, you can point out the trees, grass, birds in the sky, plane flying by, green shrubs, dogs barking, cats crossing street, cars driving by and so much more. Singing to your twins will also occupy them on their walk and this is how I do my walks with my twin baby girls.

Tips & Warnings
  • Walk, if you can, when it is not freezing cold outside.
  • Keep your walk short, just enough time for the three of you to get out for a while.
  • Check weather report, or skies, before planning your walk.
  • Walk where there are no dogs or big animals around to harm your twins.
