The Fifth Avenue is a sweet, creamy cocktail that's best enjoyed after a large dinner. A strange and delicious combination of apricot brandy and creme de cacao, the Fifth Avenue is one in a long line of classic cocktails in danger of becoming extinct, unfortunately. Read on to learn how to make it--and keep the drink alive.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 3/4 oz. apricot brandy
  • 3/4 oz. creme de cacao
  • 1 1/2 oz. cream
  • Cocktail glass (chilled)
  • Cocktail shaker and strainer
  • Ice
  1. Step 1

    Add ice to your cocktail glass, along with the ingredients in Steps 2 to 4.

  2. Step 2

    3/4 oz. apricot brandy

  3. Step 3

    3/4 oz. creme de cacao

  4. Step 4

    1 1/2 oz. cream

  5. Step 5

    Mix that up nicely with a strong 6-10 count shake of your cocktail shaker, and strain the mixture into the cocktail glass

  6. Step 6

    Enjoy!

Tips & Warnings
  • There should be no ice in your cocktail glass.
