Step 1
Find the nearest Rite Aid or Walgreens location to you with the store locator feature on the Rite Aid and Walgreens websites.
-
Step 2
The Rite Aid rebate program is called Single Check Rebates, the EasySaver rebate program is used at Walgreens. Both programs’ monthly rebate catalogs are available online.
-
Step 3
Scroll through the rebate list to see what interests you. Take notice of the dates the rebate is valid. Only those products purchased between the listed dates will be qualified for refund on the rebate check.
-
Step 4
Read the description to find out the rebate’s value. Larger values may cover the entire price of the product, while sometimes it will just be a small discount. Walgreens’ rebate catalog will say if the product will be free after the rebate while Rite Aid does not.
-
Step 5
Look at the stores’ weekly circulars, which are also available online. Many times the stores’ sales work with the rebates for extra savings. A product with a rebate might end up free if you purchase it during a sale.
-
Step 6
Rite Aid has a convenient web feature that allows you to create your rebate shopping list online to print and then bring to the store. For Walgreens, you can print a tally sheet listing all rebate offers. Take your list to the store and get shopping.
-
Step 7
Use any store or manufacturers coupons you find for additional savings. For items that will be free after a rebate, this savings can pay for the sales tax (which is non-refundable) or can even turn into a small profit.
-
Step 8
Purchase rebate items in the store on as many trips as you would like during the month. Make sure the products you are selecting are exactly the ones described in the rebate description. Normally, you are only allowed one rebate offer per household, so do not buy more than one product unless it says otherwise. Get your receipt, and put it in a safe place.
-
Step 9
Sign up for the rebate programs online. To sign-up, provide standard information such as your name, mailing address, and email address. You will also be prompted to create a password for your new account. There are no fees to join the rebate programs.
-
Step 10
For Rite Aid rebates, you can enter your receipt information online right after you purchase the products. As the store receives and verifies your rebate purchase using data from your receipt, you will receive email updates on the status of each submission. For Walgreens, save all your receipts until the end of the month, or until you have purchased all the offers you wish to.
-
Step 11
Once you have purchased all the rebate offers you are interested in for the month, it is now time to submit your offers. You can only submit for your rebate check once, so make sure all your offers are together. For Rite Aid, verify online that all your rebate offers have been approved, and then click to submit for your rebate check to be processed and sent. For Walgreens, mail your original labeled receipts and the printed tally sheet to the address provided.
-
Step 12
Receive your check by mail, cash it, and enjoy your free products.
